This has been my first go-to for tools, hardware, paint, etc since I moved to the neighborhood nearly 20 years ago. It's a cozy, friendly, family store that will surprise you with just how much they have available - as the side of the building says, they really do have "almost everything"! I'm sure most of the staff recognizes me by now since I'm in there almost weekly getting supplies for my various projects. Be sure to keep an eye out for Minnie the sweet store cat while you're there.
We go here regularly. I stopped by last weekend to solve an outdoor plumbing issue (valves/tools) - they had me taken care of in 5 mins based on the video I took. I ended up getting some needed supplies for my bbq too. In and out in minutes with great service. Highly recommend!
I grew up in the neighborhood (attended Lanier and Lamar) and continue to live in the neighborhood. Southland is a cornerstone of our community. They provide service, advice, and products with respect, courtesy, and at a fair price. They pretty much always have what you need. I love the community feeling and old-school hardware store atmosphere. Staff are helpful and easy to find when you have detailed questions. I've been shopping here for over 10 years and much prefer going here than the giant hardware stores.
You guys had what Lowe’s did not. Yes it was further away from where I live but it was worth it. Thank you Southland Hardware! Excellent customer service and sent me to the aisles to get what I needed. They even had firewood! Awesome!
