Like many structures of historic significance, the motel has worn a few hats over the years. In harsh winters, expectant mothers would stay until they delivered their babies, knowing the local doctor couldn't reach their snow-packed ranches. Early guests often did their own cleaning and some paid for rooms in trade, helping paint or make repairs. Legend tells the property once changed hands in a poker game!

Get directionsThe cabins are very charming and clean. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful, even suggesting places to eat and shop as well as recreation options. The ambiance is laid back and welcoming. We liked the place so much that after Yellowstone we decided to extend our trip and our hosts at the Log Cabin Motel booked us on short notice for another night on our return leg. All-in we rented 4 cabins during our stay and they were all just delightful. I would recommend this place heartily for anyone needing lodging ... read more
Sweet little cabin with a comfy bed, tiny well appointed kitchenette with the table already set for breakfast, and our own front porch on which to enjoy the Wyoming night. We meet our gracious hostess who gave us a tour of a few of the other historic cabins. I am especially impressed with the way the staff was supported and mentored. This is a great place to stay!
We only stayed one night and everything was great two separate rooms with a shared bathroom and shower it was perfect for my son and I on a short fishing trip. I snore and he does to so we could just close the door and not bother each other. Perfect! I would stay here again and with the money we saved we bought a better breakfast that any offered by hotels advertising free breakfast but charging 40 to 60 dollars more per night.
This was a beautiful old log cabin motel located in a quiet neighborhood one block off the main street of Pinedale, WY. Well appointed with a spotless kitchenette, clean bathroom and hot shower, and very comfortable beds. The front porch had an intimate seating area surrounded by hanging plants and flower boxes, There was plenty of parking close to the cabin which was located within easy walking distance of downtown restaurants and shopping. We loved our stay.
We absolutely love this place! I have stayed here many times over the past 25+ years and Sophia and Forest have made it better and better. Rustic, well supplied, very comfortable & clean! Great location! The hosts and staff are fantastic!
