Like many structures of historic significance, the motel has worn a few hats over the years. In harsh winters, expectant mothers would stay until they delivered their babies, knowing the local doctor couldn't reach their snow-packed ranches. Early guests often did their own cleaning and some paid for rooms in trade, helping paint or make repairs. Legend tells the property once changed hands in a poker game!
Our travel hockey team (15 kids) was looking for a special experience for our athletes, and WOW, we happened upon true gems at the Log Cabin Motel & Gannett Peak Lodge. Sofia & Forest were incredible to work with, as I negotiated 15 total rooms across the 2 properties. One block away from several good restaurants. Rate is reasonable. But this is one of the very nicest places we have ever stayed throughout our travels in the world. Although it was built In the early 20th century it is immaculately clean, well furnished, order less, full kitchen with dishes & tools, and absolutely bursting with character. We stayed here at the Log Cabin Motel 2 nights before our backpacking trip in the Wind River Range. Would I stay again? Most certainly I would! Staff was very helpful and kind. Sophia (or is it Sofia?) was super nice, including lending us bear spray which we returned after not needing to use it (save some $$ and reduce waste at the same time!) The rooms were clean and the motel was perfectly situated for accessing the town parks, shops, and grocery store.
Our stay at the Log Cabin Hotel has always been a delight. Clean, comfortable accomodations within walking distance to anything you may need. We love that they have a fully stocked kitchen. We highly recommend this place, and providing they have availability when we visit Pinedale, we won't stay anywhere else.
My wife and I were very fortunate to find a vacancy at your wonderful Log Cabin Motel. We arrived a little late, but Marvin welcomed us and showed us to our cabin, which was cozy, warm and extremely efficient and complete with all amenities. We will definitely stay at the Log Cabin Motel in the future and would recommend it to anyone.
