About every six months, we have a truck load of wood to get rid of. We take it to them on a flatbed trailer, they push it off with their backhoe and then we are on our way. In the last 2 years, pricing has gone from $250 for the truckload to $600 (Cash, if you want to pay by credit card, they'll tack on another $200). PLUS then they sell the ground up compost. I can almost guarantee their costs haven't quadrupled over the last 2 years. Bad business practices.
$170 for 1 load of greens is a rip off. You are part of the reason people dump illegally.
I am truly disappointed!! I’ve been a customer for almost 15 years, and as of November 2023 they will be increasing their dump rates by 50%, this really crushes the small businesses as we can’t keep up with all these pricing hikes. I understand fuel cost increases but 50%? Now Sycamore landfill is officially cheaper than inland, I never thought I would see the day. And I’m sure their mulch cost will be going up as well so just be ready lol.
I am very happy with Island Pacific Resource Recovery customer service. Twice now I have ordered material for my property and the quality is quite good. The 70/30 topsoil mixed with some compost I got free from the City worked perfectly for my raised garden beds. After building more raised beds I decided to go with the planter mix which is higher in organic matter and it's going to be perfect, and no with no hand mixing. I also ordered mulch for my garden. They told me on the phone green waste was 100 for an 8 ft trailer then when I got there it was 300.
