Over the past 20 years, we have diverted green waste from the landfills to power a 47 mw biomass energy plant in Mecca, California. This diversion eliminates the substantial emissions of methane and nitrous oxide that would occur if this material is left to decompose in the landfills.

I am very happy with Island Pacific Resource Recovery customer service. Twice now I have ordered material for my property and the quality is quite good. The 70/30 topsoil mixed with some compost I got free from the City worked perfectly for my raised garden beds. After building more raised beds I decided to go with the planter mix which is higher in organic matter and it's going to be perfect, and no with no hand mixing. I also ordered mulch for my garden. I am truly disappointed!! I’ve been a customer for almost 15 years, and as of November 2023 they will be increasing their dump rates by 50%, this really crushes the small businesses as we can’t keep up with all these pricing hikes. I understand fuel cost increases but 50%? Now Sycamore landfill is officially cheaper than inland, I never thought I would see the day. And I’m sure their mulch cost will be going up as well so just be ready lol.
Quick, not too busy and reasonably priced. Tight quarters with a trailer though...or 5 stars. RECOMMENDED!!
It's a good place to go dump your green recycling .if you run a tree or brush clearing service.
They're great and ALWAYS so helpful. I just found out but they are now closed on Sundays!!. Can this really be true??! I do all my yard work on the weekends.
